Deleting your account and data
Last updated 1 August 2026
1. How to delete your account
Sign in, open Settings, select Account, then Delete account. You will be asked to confirm with your password.
If you cannot sign in, email delete@krydapp.com from the address registered to the account. We may ask for information to confirm the request came from you.
2. What happens immediately
Your profile stops being visible to employers and to the community at the moment the request is confirmed.
Open applications are withdrawn and pending attestation requests are cancelled.
Your account enters a 14-day grace period during which signing in restores it. After 14 days the deletion is final.
3. What is deleted
Account details: name, email address, password credentials, contact details and settings.
Career record: employment history, skills, certifications, project entries and their confirmation status.
Evidence: documents, files and links you uploaded, and the responses of anyone who attested to a claim.
Community content is either deleted or, where a thread would otherwise become unreadable, permanently detached from your identity at your choice.
Deletion from live systems completes within 30 days. Encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle completed within 90 days.
4. What is kept, and why
Transaction and invoice records, where we are required to retain them for tax and accounting purposes.
Records of fraud, abuse or security incidents, retained to prevent recurrence.
Aggregated statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
5. Information employers already hold
Where an employer exported or recorded information about you before deletion, that copy sits with the employer and is subject to their own retention obligations. Deleting your Kryd account does not remove it from their systems. Contact the employer directly to request its deletion.
